Blueberries. Because there is nothing better than a good handful of these to keep you healthy!
Thistles. The middle one reminds me of my bobble hat! Something I needed this week on a cold and windy walk.
There is something so special and lovely about natural fibres and Linen has to be one of my favourites and I couldn’t resist buying this gorgeous yellow cushion to bring a pop of sunshine to the January days!
A most brilliant concept and beautifully simple. I spotted these for our New Year Day gifts. Each book is individually wrapped with printed words at the top hinting at what the book beneath the covers may be about. It really does make you try something new that you may otherwise not choose when in a bookstore. Plus these make wonderful gifts and has got me thinking! Hmmm …
I couldn’t imagine life without a wood burner in it. It not only soothes the soul when looking at the flames dancing and flitting but is fantastic at keeping you warm and toasty. Being in front of one makes me feel comforted and cosy and I just love wood and these logs have amazing texture.
This is one of my favourite plants, not only does it produce large and beautiful bushy bouncing heads of flowers throughout the summer months, but as it fades and dries, it brings subtle joy to the winter days when fresh seasonal flowers are in less abundance. I managed to rescue a few of these before the stormy winds hit and blew most of them away!
Books I have just finished and reading
A Gentleman in Moscow- Amor Towles ( This was so beautifully written and it is such a wonderful story)
Currently reading Winter by Ali Smith ( Just love this lady and her writing style) I also read her Autumn book which was just brilliant.
A blog that has caught my eye this week is ‘Posie gets Cozy’ who shares lots of wonderful images of her family and life and who also runs a business and has amazing fabric creations!
